On March 7, 2009, Kim entered the local Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off!  She made her own original chili with venison, wild boar, chorizo sausage and -----.  Instead of using store-bought chili power, Kim made her own chili ingredients consisting of  - - - - -

Kim won three awards:  Most Original, Hottest and runner-up for the best chili overall.
