This is the Admiral's private stateroom.  The Iwo Jima is the designated Admiral's ship.  The Admiral was not aboard during our transit.  It flys the Admiral's 3-star flag.  Genuine article from February 20, 1945 describing the victory at Iwo Jima.

The Admiral's private office.

Our journey is coming to a close.  This is the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay.  This is one side of the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel. It was pretty cold out on the flight deck.  And extremely windy which made the wind chill factor was 35.

Coast Guard Cutter heading out to sea.

The tugs are getting ready to assist us to our berth.

Coming up on all the Navy berths.

There was lots of military traffic in Norfolk.

Making the turn into Berth 10.

Almost there.  We all had a fabulous time.  What a marvelous experience.
